書面表達是中學生學習英語應掌握的一項基本技能,它要求學生有紮實的語言基本功,具備一定的審題能力、想象能力、表達能力和評價能力等。《英語課程標準》也對學生的寫作提出了一定的要求,然而從近幾年的考試情況來看,學生書面表達錯誤較多,與《英語課程標準》前言中“發展學生綜合語言運用能力”的要求還有一定的差距。
一、具體說來,學生書面表達中主要存在以下問題。
1、時態誤用
主要表現在兩方面:1)學生寫作之前沒有判斷整篇文章主要用哪種時態,常出現該用一般現在時的句子,用了一般過去時;而該用將來時的句子,用了完成時。2)時態構成表達錯誤。由於學生對各種時態掌握不好,常常將所學的各種時態混淆,以致出現如下的錯誤如,I'm go to school by bike. He told some children that there are some places of interest in Beijing.
2、漢語式英語
由於受漢語的影響,再加上對英語句子結構掌握不好,導致學常常按漢語的詞序來翻譯句子,在學生的作文中常常見到這樣的句子: You can be bus. In china have different places of interest. In autumn is best season for traveling.
3、邏輯錯誤
在做書面表達的過程中,有的學生一拿到考題慌慌張張開始寫,在寫作之前沒有構思好先寫什麼后寫什麼,哪些內容應該詳寫,哪些內容應該略寫,而是一邊寫一邊構思,從而導致整個文章邏輯不清,層次感不強,整篇文章不知所云。
4、單詞拼寫錯誤
由於部分學生平時不注意記憶單詞,基礎知識掌握不牢固,所以在文章中常出現單詞拼寫錯誤如,September 寫為 septber because 寫為 beacause 。
5. 缺少銜接
有些學生雖然在詞彙運用書面表達方面能夠達到基本要求,但由於句子之間沒有添加適當的銜接成分,使句子之間和文段之間缺乏必要的過渡和連貫,影響了信息的傳遞和表達效果。
6、文體不對
中學階段要求學生掌握的文體主要有說明文、記敘文、議論文和應用文,其中應用文又包括通知、請假條、書信和電子郵件等,由於一些學忽視了各種體裁的寫作特點,從而導致文章體裁格式不正確如:將寫信的日期寫在信末;寫請假條不寫署名等。
二、針對學生在書面表達中出現的問題,教師在平時的教學中應採取如下的措施。
(一)、夯實基礎,循序漸進
1、掌握五種基本句型
首先要讓學生掌握和運用好英語的五種基本句型,因為所有的英語句子都是這5種句型的擴展和延伸。
2、賦予所表達所需的時態
動詞的時態變化是英語區別漢語的一大特點,因此教師應對初中階段的各種時態加以講解並加以強化訓練,讓學生徹底搞清楚各種時態的含義及用法。
3、強化單詞短語的記憶和句型的應用
單詞和短語是句子的重要組成部分,因此教師要特別重視詞句等語言基礎。要通過完成句子、聯繫延伸、造句等方法,讓學生熟記所學單詞短語,不斷擴大他們的詞彙量。
4、了解各種體裁,進行專題訓練
教師應把文章的各種體裁給學生詳細加以講授,並針對各種體裁進行相應的寫作練習。
(二)、正確引導,規範教學
教師要指導學生對題目所提供的信息要認真分析整理,使之更加條理化,為開始動筆做好前期準備。還要讓學生搞清楚所提供的題目是要求寫短文、日記還是便條等,以根據不同的題材、體裁,寫出不同格式、風格各異的文章。在這個階段教師要充分估計到學生可能產生的差錯和出現的問題,盡量將其消滅在萌芽狀態。2. While-writing: 在這一階段學生所犯的錯誤有兩個①逐句逐句漢譯英②受漢語的干擾,寫出漢語式的英語句子,教師應指導學生避免犯這兩個錯誤。3. Post-writing:在這一過程中教師應指導學生全面檢查全文,看看是否存在下列的問題:格式、拼寫、標點、扣題,不規範英文、時態、語態、主謂一致、大小寫等用法錯誤或使用不當。正確的指導和規範訓練對培養學生良好的學習和寫作習慣舉足輕重。
(三)科學批改、及時講評
教師的評改對學生寫作水平的提高也有很大影響,教師的評改要及時,也需要技巧。對普遍出現的問題要在課堂上講解、分析、討論來加以解決;個別問題則要以面批或讓學生互評方式解決。教師在批改的過程中,應避免告訴學生答案,而採用簡單符號或標記,讓學生自己動手改錯后再給老師看。學生通過動腦和動手改正錯誤,印象會更加深刻,從而使寫作能力提高更快。
