Jane Eyre didn’t have an angel-like face. She was never adored by a family’s care, so it was fairly difficult for a little girl like her to understand the word ‘love’. But Jane did not give up—She searched for hope, even in the situations of hopeless. The happiness of her childhood was taken away by her parents’ death when she was only a baby. But the nightmare of her childhood did not make her miserable, instead, she was grown up, a confident young lady with great sense of jutice and responsibility. She did hesitated, but the journey was none stop. Her heart did not belong to Gateheador Thornfield, but Jane choosed to obey her heart. The wisdoms of her heart made her stronger in mind, she had enough confidence to face the long way in front of her eyes. Coming from the darkness, Jane finally caught the first smell of the fresh air, the fragrant of independence. Jane thought she had finally found love. From Mr. Rochester, she got what she never dreamed to have. She believed that his love was real, and it was like the tide, pouring into her heart, with passion, care, and forgiveness, but the appearance of his mad wife destroyed her illusions of a happy marrige. Again she left, but this time, her heart was cold. She left Gatehead to escape from those who deeply hurt her, and she left Lowood to find a brand new life, but, she left Thornfield to keep herself calm from being hurt by the man she loved with her whole heart. But, one night, in a dream, a woman of freed spirit and great independence heard the call of the man whose marriage proposal she once accepted. Jane finally returned to Mr. Rochester, with the awareness of scarfice, with the thoroughly understanding of love. For she and her Edward, their spirtual comfort was not only the mercy of God’s judgement, but also from the happiness of their marrige. No one can be untouched by Jane’s spirtual journey from a rebel orphan to a centred woman, but it was also her fortune to have the wisdoms inside and also a great charm of personality. Though she was onced dispised, and was forgotten by those people around her, but those miseries had became her possessions, instead of weapons or sadness. These possesions, helped Jane to become a survivor, the surivivor of the thirst for love, and led her to the most rightful choice she made in her entire life. Jane’s choice was always her choice, because she could hear the voice of her soul, her speaking and actions were just what she really thought. There is no hesistation for her, because the experiences of her past had already established the high position of equality and responsibility inside her mind. And as she was following her heart, she found the answer: If both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God”s feet, we will be equal—as we are! As equal, it is esaier for people to understand, to tolerate and to love each other. And as equal, love is endless, through the grave and go right the way into the paradise. Also as equal, sadness of the past will gone with the wind, and the fragrant of freedom will forever stay in our mind. Charlotte Brontë passed away at a very early age, and Jane’s story will come to an end. But, though her voice was faint, her touch was not even warm, her spirit will never die. Jane was not an angel, but she is still the beauty in our readers” mind, because of her soul. Yes, she told us to search for independence and get ready for love. She was MORE than an angel.
