Chapter 6　“What are you doing here, Amber? Get out of here, I don’t want to see you.” Ryan said with a frown.　　 “I’m sorry Ryan. I shouldn’t have been mean to you guys. I regret for it. And that’s why I didn’t tell on you. Please forgive me.” Amber nearly sobbed.　　 “You…you mean you didn’t? Well, I guess we never blamed you…” Ryan gave a weak smile but back to his serious face again. “Where is Melissa? She was asking for some water, so I went to get it. When I got back, you see…” He explained.　　 None of the noticed the opened window……　************************************************’　　 Let’s spend a little time taking about Melissa and her action.　　 At this moment Melissa heard about Amber coming over, she was trembling all over. She still remembers the conversation she had with Amber in school. In break time, after talking to Erica and Ryan near the long bench, she found Amber behind the bench on accident. Amber threatened her not to tell anyone about the eavesdropping or she will get Erica, Ryan and Melissa all in trouble.　　 Melissa recorded the whole conversation with her mobile phone:　　 “Amber, did you overhear our conversation?”　　 “Yes, but you’re not going to tell them about me, are you?”　　 “How can you be so sure?”　　 “I know you don’t want all of you to be in trouble. Listen, Melissa. We are not enemies, but we will be if you tell them about me. So don’t you dare destroy my plan.”　　 “What is your plan?”　　 “You said you’ve got this special newspaper. I’m going to get it, I will solve it.”　　 “How are you going to get it?”　　 “Someone will get it for me…”　　 “You don’t mean me do you?”　　 “No, I won’t be hard on you, I know you won’t betray your friends. I will ask someone else…”

　　　 Melissa could not be calm all this time, she decided to talk to Ryan.　　 “Ryan, I am telling you a secret. You’ve got to warn Erica. Amber is up to no good. Just be careful!” Melissa whispered in Ryan’s ears.　　 “Why? What is Amber up to?” Ryan murmured.　　 “I can’t tell you. If I do, all of us will get in trouble, including you.”　　 “Right, I will tell her. But I think you should tell us what’s going on, we aren’t afraid of getting in trouble.”　　 “I’ll tell you when it is time.”

　　　 When she heard the doorbell, she knew it was Amber. But what could she do? Nothing! She didn’t want to see Amber, so she kept Ryan busy and escaped from the window when Ryan didn’t notice her.　　 “I will explain this to Erica, one day.” Melissa thought.　*************************************************’　　 Back to this time, Erica and Ryan forgave Amber, they were already discussing about the news.　　 “So much for today, we will think about tomorrow.” Ryan announced.　　 Amber left. 　　 Ryan found the plaster on Erica’s forehead.　　 “What happened to your forehead?” He asked.　　 “It’s Tommy, he tripped me. I want to kill him.” 　　 “I’m going to make sure he doesn’t bother you again.” He said abruptly.　　 “Thanks but what are you going to do about it?”　　 He just smiled.　　 A nameless sort of fear rushed to Erica’s mind. She has a feeling something terrible is about to happen. She was too tired to think about Amber’s apology. She didn’t even notice how strange Amber behaved these days. 　　 “Amber is selfish, but she is certainly not evil.” Erica thought to herself. Erica could never know things are more complicated than she could ever imagine.

　　She lied down on her bed and breathed a mouthful of air avariciously.

　　“Hey! What if Tommy disappears just like the other teenagers? No one would have to bother me then.” A strange and dangerous idea popped into Erica’s mind.
